E1: TR: Are CPUs/CVE's Backward Compatible With Older Tools Releases? (Doc ID 2659908.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 27, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When CVE lists are released and show a tools release for Enterprise One listed next to the CVE entry, can the client apply that CVE patch to a prior tools release?

1)  Question from client related to whether CVE patches are backward compatible.

Example: If a CVE is listed for tools release 9.2.X, can that patch be applied to a system running 9.1.X tools release.

2)  Question: If the CVE is not backward compatible, does Development supply POC's for the older tools release, or would the client have to upgrade to the newer tools release to get

the latest CVE patch set fixes?

3) Our E1 Server has multiple vulnerabilities and CVE's listed and we would like to know which patch to apply?
