The following filing status changes will be applied with the April 20, 2020 (Update #4/20) Vertex Monthly Update.
NEW MEXICO (32-000-0000)
- Added form US_FED.W4.DEDUCTIONS, step 4b from federal Form W-4 to the New Mexico state withholding calculation for employees who want to reduce their state withholding for expected federal tax credits. The amount provided on this form will be used to reduce taxable wages before state tax is calculated.

Perform Gross Up Calculation - B0700931
Before this legislative regulatory Enhancement, you would need to enter a separate line for New Mexico (NM) state income tax under the employee tax override.
After this legislative regulatory Enhancement, The federal deductions provided in employee tax overrides will be sent to the New Mexico state tax calculation process. Unless you have different exemption between Federal and NM state, no need to create a separate line in the tax override for the NM state.
