Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to use the Single Asset Disposal/P12105 or Mass Asset Disposals/R12104 and the user enters a date into the future in which there are no Date Patterns, the system should hard error instead of issuing a warning.  Currently, the system issues a warning and allows the disposal to process which causes data issues with the F0911, F1202 files and requires a data base utility program to correct the data.

The system should display a hard error that doesn't allow the user to proceed with the disposal.  An error like Date Is IN Future Fiscal Year.  For example, The date 12/31/2119 does not fall with a fiscal year set up for Company 00050, date pattern R.  A date entry is not allowed unless it is set up in the Date Patterns file (F0008) for validation. RESOLUTION: Set up the Fiscal Year in the Fiscal Date Pattern file.

Maybe add the text: RESOLUTION: Set up the Fiscal Year in the Fiscal Date Pattern file or review the date to determine it is correct.

Current Error that displays-Date Is In Future Fiscal Year

CAUSE Date is at least one fiscal year into future from your current fiscal year (WACO)

RESOLUTION.   This is a Warning.  Either change the date or press Enter or the appropriate function key to accept.

Steps:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add Date Patterns only thru the current year.
2. Add an asset.
3. Add cost and a/d.
4. Dispose of the asset using a future date.
5. Repeat the process on both the single asset and mass asset disposal programs:

Mass Asset Disposals/R12104
Single Asset Disposal/P12105
