Last updated on MAY 20, 2020

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When entering sales order for kit item and additional regular item, then changing the quantity on the parent kit item, the kit component lines get created with wrong line numbers.
This happens in both P4210 and P42101 applications.

Note: The issue seems to occur when the quantity in child items in bill of material is greater than 1.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create sales order with P4210/P42101 application with items KITPARENT (Kit item) in 1 st line and ITEM(purchase item) in second line and with quantity required as below.
2. Now change the quantity of kit item before saving the order.
3. Click on submit and close button.
4. New order created.
5. Find the newly created order. Kit child line numbers are not populated correctly corresponding to the kit parent line number. In this case it should be line no 1.010,1.020 and 1.030 instead of 2.010,2.020 and 2.030.
