Symptoms

When processing the JP300000 (Engineering Change Order Manager) Business Service in a double-byte system, receiving the error output: "cannot compress the search text when it is in a DBCS format"

Steps to Duplicate: 

  1. Set the User Profile (P0092L) Language (LNGP) field's UDC 01/LP with a '3' in the Special Handling Code for the 'blank' code's Domestic Language record.
  2. Clear the HTML cache and Enterprise Server cache
  3. Run the JP300000 in SoapUI, and receive the error: "cannot compress the search text when it is in a DBCS format.
