E1: UBE: Asterisk In User ID Field Displays No Records In Submitted Job Search (WSJ) On Fat Client But Records Display Using Other Search Criteria (Doc ID 2680711.1)

Symptoms

On Fat Client, Fast Path to Submitted Job Search (WSJ).   As a default, the User ID is populated with the user name of the signed on user and records display.  Other search criteria displays records as well but if an asterisk is used in the User ID, records do not display.

jdedebug.log from Fat Client shows:

This is not an issue on the Enterprise Server, only Fat client.    This worked on the Fat Client previously but no longer works.
