E1: 32: Canceled Configured Child Item from Sales Order has a Work Order at Work Order Status That Is After Cutoff does not get Updated to Changed Status Code (After Cutoff) as the Parent Work Order does (Doc ID 2682188.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 28, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Configurator - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When re-configuring an existing configured sales order eliminating a configured child item that's work order is already past the cutoff status on the work order side the system does not update the original configured child work order with the After Cutoff Status but leaves the status alone.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

When re-configuring an existing configured sales order eliminating a configured child item that is already past the cutoff status on the work order side have the system update the after cutoff status to that work order as well as the parent work order.

STEPS TO DUPLICATE

  1. Enter a configured sales order which produces two work orders, a parent and configured child
  2. Process both work orders to where they are both past the cutoff status on the work order side
  3. Now go back into the sales order and make a change to the configuration that brings in a different configured child item and cancels or clears out the original configured child item. Since the original configured child work order and parent are beyond the cutoff status the system generates a warning in sales order entry indicating the parent work order is beyond the cutoff status and no changes will be made to the original configured child work order status so it stays at the status it is at even though a new work order has been created for a different configured child work order. The After Cutoff Status is updated to the Parent Work Order but the Configured Child stays the same without any status to tell the work order side that something has happened on the sales side.
