Last updated on JULY 03, 2023

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When an equipment has a model work order set with the first and last operation steps having the Type Operation Code (Alias: OPSC) as "R - repetitive" and then R12807 creates a maintenance work order for a PM schedule based on that particular model work order, the newly created maintenance order has all operation steps defined with the OPSC code as "R". This is incorrect, as only the first and last operation sequences should keep the OPSC code defined as "R". The WO Routing details are misleading for the users.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. P1701 / P1702 - Create an equipment for an inventory item set for CAM / SWM transactions
  2. P3002 / P3003 - Define the BOM and Routing for the inventory item defined on the above equipment. Make sure the OPSC value for each operation sequence on the routing is blank
  3. P48201 / P17714 - Create a model work order for the above equipment
  4. P1207 - Define an Interval-Based PM Schedule with a Frequency Indicator = 5 - "Same Day Each Week" and use the above model work order
  5. P12071 - Create a maintenance order
  6. P12071 - Take the option "Access WO"
  7. P17714 ZJDE0003 - The WM order has all correct details
  8. P17730 ZJDE0002 - Work Order Parts List details are correctly attached
  9. P17732 ZJDE0002 - Labor details attached correctly; Ty Cd field (Alias: OPSC) is blank.
  10. P12071 - Select a PM schedule and take the option "Model WO"
  11. P17714 ZJDE0003 - Take the Form exit > Labor Detail
  12. P3003 - Select the routing steps
  13. P3003 - Change the labor details of the model WO to have the Ty Cd populated only for the first and last operations steps as "R - repetitive". Save the changes
  14. P12071 - Select the PM schedule wth the PM Status "01" and take the option "Create WO". R12807 is called from P12071. Note the WO # from the .pdf output of the R12807 run.
  15. P12071 - Check the details of the new maintenance work order. Select the new work order and take the option "Assigned WO"
  16. P17732 ZJDE0002 - The Ty Cd for all operation steps are now defined with "R", instead of having only the first and the last routing steps set are repetitive steps. This is misleading for the users.
