E1: 42: Global Print Message Document Type Exception is Ignored with Setup for Print Pick Slips (R42520) (Doc ID 2701137.1)

Symptoms

The customer setup a print message and attached the print message to a customer on the Billing Information, Billing Page 1, of the Customer Master record (F03012).  In Work with Print Message (P40162) the customer setup a document type exception for document type SP for the Print Pick Slip UBE.

When a sales order with document type SP was created for the customer, the pick slip included the print message. The print message should not have printed for document type SP per the setup in the Doc Exception Row Exit.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Setup the global print message for a customer.
  2. In document type setup for the print message indicate P42520.
  3. Create a sales order.
  4. Process the order through print pick slips, R42520. The print message does not appear.
