The following documentation states that AIS REST calls using HTTP Basic authentication or Username and Password authentication should be stateless:
E1: AIS JSON - Authentication Options and Examples (Doc ID 2302120.1)
E1: AIS: AIS and HTML Sessions Get Removed Right After Completion Of Orchestrations. How can we Keep the Session Open Using Basic Auth? (Doc ID 2529693.1)
This means that the user sessions should be opened and then closed implicitly after the called process is complete. However, this is actually leaving orphaned JAS and AIS user sessions in releases prior to 188.8.131.52.
