(Doc ID 2704154.1)
Last updated on APRIL 01, 2024
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Canadian Payroll - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The P0801/P770105 (Canadian Tax Info by EE) should be based off of the residence tax area, not work tax area. Employees taxes are based on where they live on December 31st of that tax year, not where they worked during the year (for their personal tax returns).
Steps:
1. Go to P0801 Processing Options-Canadian Tax tab.
2. Input Net Canadian Federal Tax Credits and Tax Credits for Alberta and British Columbia.
3. Add new Canadian Employee with Tax Area Residence=700010000 (AB) and Work Tax Area=700030000 (BC).
4. Note that Canadian Tax Info by EE (P770105) displays Provincial Net Tax Credit with the British Columbia (Work Tax Area) default value instead of Alberta (Residence Tax Area) from the P0801 Processing Options.
