E1: SEC: Multiple Entry Of Login And Log Out In F9312 (Doc ID 2710434.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 14, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

JAS (specifically package lookup service runtime) is creating a new session every time package is refreshed, resulting in several security history login/logout records in the security history logging table (F9312) after logging into EnterpriseOne, even without opening any apps or doing anything

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log into E1, do not do anything, and then log out after a few minutes.
2. Security History Logging to the F9312 table will show many login (SHEVTYP01) and logout (SHEVTYP02) events, even though you were not doing anything.
3. This is causing the F9312 table to grow quickly and require lots of manual maintenance. They want to log and keep track of interactive user logins, not authentication of background processes.

DESIRED OUTCOME
Package lookup service runtime (and other similar JAS processes) should reuse sessions instead of creating a new session every time a package is refreshed.
