Last updated on SEPTEMBER 26, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Processing - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Post Brexit the customer will need to hold a Customer EORI number in E1.

An EORI is an Economic Operator Registration and Identification Number. These numbers are part of a system introduced in 2009. Before EORI there was TURN. The Number in the UK is based on the VAT number with a country prefix GB and 000 at the end. From Jan 2021 all businesses and sole traders trading with any EU country will have to have an EORI to export goods.

In addition the customer will need to hold the EORI numbers for all of their customers in the EU to allow easy Importation and import declaration into the EU.

The customer needs a place to hold it in E1 . They do not apply localizations for specific EU countries. This is not relevant as it applies to all EU countries

Currently there is no field to store such information.

As per https://www.gov.uk/eori

"From 1 January 2021 you'll need an EORI number to move goods between the UK and the EU."

The requirement is to add such a field in JDE.
