E1: 74S: Enhancement Requesting Tax ID Validation - Spain (B74S0130) to Always Request Tax ID Values that Start with Country Prefix (Doc ID 2720828.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 19, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Address Book - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The request is that the Spanish routine for checking the VAT IDs (B74S0130 Tax ID Validation - Spain) to be modified, including when checking NIFs (Foreign Tax ID Validation for Spain), in order to always request the VAT ID value (Alias TAX) to start with the Country prefix having one of the Code values set on the UDC 70/TI (Tax ID Validation) for country Spain, followed by the NIF value, without the system to throw any blocking error, like it is happening now.

Currently, the system fails to validate such a Tax ID value, throwing 494L - Tax ID with letter on Invalid position (Source File: B74S0130.c).
