E1: 07: Interim Check P070701 Issue No Warning When Hours enter Exceeding The Limit Hours Set Up In Pay Type P059116 (Doc ID 2725389.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne US Payroll - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using Pay Type Hours Limit with Warning in P059116 (Pay Type Revisions) and the Work Date is defaulting from the Interim header entry (P07280) then use the Standard Grid and key in the Address/Employee, Pay Type, and Hours then click ENTER, the cursor will move to the next line and NO Warning is displayed. If you key that same Address/Employee, Pay Type, and Hours AND Work Date into the grid line (instead of defaulting the workdate from the Interim Header Entry), the Warning appears.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Use an existing employee that has history of 43 hours for pay Type xxx.
2. In P059116 setup Pay Type xxx with an Hours Limit less than the existing employee's Calendar YTD Amount (which is 40) and Edit Flag set to Warning: Hours Limit Exceeded.
3. Go to P07210I (Interim payment workbench). Click on Add Interim and enter employee Address, Pay Type xxx, and Hours (8) then click ENTER, the cursor will move to the next line and No Warning is given. Click Save and note timecard is saved.
4. Alternatively key the same Address/Employee, Pay Type, and Hours AND Work Date in the grid line, the Warning displays correctly.
