E1: 74: Enhancement Request To Prevent Tax Id Validation for Individuals in EMEA (P01012) (Doc ID 2733938.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 09, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Accounts Payable - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

With a European Union Localization enabled, when having Tax ID Validation activated in UDC 70/TI, the system validates the Tax ID when entering/editing Address Book records.

Currently, to prevent Tax ID validation for an Address Book record (even when Tax ID is enabled in UDC 70/TI and a European Union Localization enabled), the validation can only be disabled by setting the Person/Corporation Code (TAXC) to 0 - No Validate in Additional 1 tab of Address Book (P01012).

Requesting to disable Tax ID validation for Individuals (TAXC = 1 resp. P) due to the reason that they may not have any VAT Tax ID.
