E1: 12: Account Type does not Update Correctly in Asset Account Balances File (F1202) (Doc ID 2734874.1)

Last updated on JULY 06, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Fixed Assets - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

A user entered a journal entry to reclassify depreciation expense from one account to another. The entries were then posted to Fixed Assets. The fixed asset entry is missing the Account Type field=4. This is causing reporting issues where the entry is not getting pulled due to a missing Account Type.

Steps to replicate:
1.Create an asset
2.Enter a beginning balance for it.
3.Post the journal to GL
4.Using P12102 Revise Unposted Entries post the batch to FA
5.With R12855 run depreciation for one month for the asset above
6.From P1204 Row exit >Asset Disposal dispose the asset
7.Enter a new journal entry for the depreciation expense of the asset
8.Post the batch above to GL and FA.
9.Review F1202 for the asset and notice that Account Type is blank for the last posted transaction.
