Last updated on APRIL 16, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The G - Increase message for an Order Policy Code 4 (OPC4) - Period of Supply (POS) item for a supply order outside of the freeze fence, that is short of the requirements inside the freeze fence, is over stated, resulting in excess inventory.

Steps:

  1. In P4101 P41021, create fresh planning data for an OPC4 - POS, manufactured item, with a multiple order qty and safety stock.
  2. Create one or more P4210 Sales Order demand quantities for the item, future dated, inside the item freeze fence.
  3. Create one or more P48013 firm work order supply orders that are beyond the item freeze fence using dates and quantities such that planning system should generate expedite message to bring date in to earlier date and should increase the order to meet the total requirement inside the freeze fence, including safety stock requirements.  For example, enter SO for qty 672 dated Gen date + 3 and another Gen date + 5.  Set FF > 5 days. Firm a WO supply of 720 dated Gen date > 5 (FF).
  4. Run R3483 MRP and review time series and messages.
