E1: E1PAGE: Enhancement Request to use Internal Task ID for E1Pages (Doc ID 2738273.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 18, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The technology behind building E1Pages should store the Internal Task ID so that this will still work when the Task ID changes.
Customers might have named the Tasks with a Task ID that refers to the application that is being called. The current application versions might refer to the name of the Business Unit. If the Business Unit is changed, due to business needs, the application version must be changed accordingly. Now Tasks will need to be changed, by changing the version and the Task ID that refers to the version. The result is that any changed Task in the menu still works, because it is using the Internal Task ID, while any changed Task in the E1Page no longer works, because it is based on the Task ID.
