E1: 07: Need New Tax Method to Exempt for each Local Tax Type (K, L, M and N) (Doc ID 2738921.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 28, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne US Payroll - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Currently, when overriding any local tax type such as M, N, L or K, via employee tax override with a flat dollar, the system does correctly not calculate the tax amount via payroll/interim check.  However, the system accumulates wages for the override tax type.  For example, override tax type M with zero flat.  when payroll is run, no tax amount for M is calculated but the taxable gross is calculated and updated in history table F06136. The customer would like to have the feature  of a new tax method or something along this line so that when overriding tax  for a certain local tax type, not only should the system not calculate the tax amount but also the system should also not accumulate the wages either.
