Last updated on JULY 11, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

You want to configure JDE Virtual Batch Queues (VBQ) on Tools release 9.2.5.x and higher.

Questions,

  1. Is this feature available for OS/400 (System i, AS/400) Setup?
  2. Is this feature supported with 3rd party Schedulers?
  3. Do you need to add/configure the virtual host via P9654A or P9654W?
  4. After adding two batch servers under the virtual host, QBATCH queues display for both servers under the Virtual Host queues configuration along with an I-Active queue. Why do you see the I-Active queue?
  5. Why is it required in P98617 (Work With Default Output Locations) to select database or filesystem + database in order to set up a virtual host, instead of filesystem only?
  6. What Documentation is available for Virtual Batch Queues?
  7. Is it possible to have multiple VBQ for the same patchcode ?
