With the Manufacturing Constants (P3009) being checked for On-Line BOM Validation, The P3002 Bill of Materials is allowing a recursive Item to be added without an error and/or warning.

The Bill of Material Structure Analysis (R30601) report does find recursive bill errors on an Item in a Branch even though P3009 Manufacturing Constants On-Line BOM Validation is checked ON for that Branch Plant.

Steps:

1.  Make sure the P3009 Mfg Constants is checked for Checking On-Line bill Validation
2.  Setup a BOM Parent Item (0130) with a purchased component (0140)
3.  Now add a new BOM with the Component (0140) being the Parent item Number and Component (0130) being the Parent Item Number (This is Recursive)
4.  However,  the system allows the BOM to be entered with No Errors
