E1: 41: Secondary Qty Hard Commit (HCMS) in F41021 not Cleared for Dual UOM and Lot Controlled Item (Doc ID 2754683.1)

Symptoms

Where a sales order has been raised for a Dual UOM and lot controlled item, and the order is processed through to completion, and where a credit order for the same item/lot is raised and ship confirmed, the value in the Secondary Quantity Hard Committed field (alias HCMS), in table F41021, is not cleared; Primary field is unaffected.
 
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Process a sales order for a dual UOM, lot controlled item for the entire sales cycle. (through R42800 Sales update)
  2. Enter a credit order for the same item and lot.
  3. Ship confirm the credit order.
  4. Review item availability and notice the secondary hard committed quantity (HCMS) was not updated, it still shows a negative quantity from the credit order. The other quantities on the F41021 file are being updated correctly.
