Symptoms

Currently, even after going through all the steps to create the SIRE RG 4523 text file for Argentina withholding vouchers, no records except those for SUSS Withholding and Profit Withholding for Foreign Beneficiaries show in the Withholding Certificates Legal Number Maintenance program (P76A001). Because of this, it is not possible to put in the certificate number obtained from the Argentina tax authority, AFIP, for the VAT Withholding and VAT Perception certificates after submitting the SIRE files for these to the AFIP.

Per the RG 4523 resolution, P76A001 should not only show the certificates for SUSS withholding and Profit Withholding for Foreign Beneficiaries but also those for VAT withholding and VAT perception. This is so that the temporary certificate numbers generated by the system can be replaced by the official certificate number assigned by the AFIP.
