Symptoms

Created a Form Extension on P42040 to add Order Company (order Number)[F4211.KCOO] on the header of the form. Then created a personal form to set as a required field and when using the application it is not treated as required. End user can leave blank without a problem.

STEPS TO REPLICATE on Tools Release 9.2.4.4

  1. Create a Form Extension for P42040 and add field KCOO (order company) to the form header.
  2. Right-click on the field, and in Properties, choose "equal to" and remove wildcard.
  3. Create a Personal Form and make the newly added field mandatory.
  4. Logout and login. Open the application again, and see that the field is there, marked with a *. Then, without clicking into the field, click Find (or put in other search criteria, again without touching the field, and click Find. You will see that the form is performing the action even with the field marked as mandatory being blank.
  5. If you, however, touch the field in some way (click into it, write something and delete it...), if you after this try to leave it blank and do Find, error will be returned.
