Goal

Recently a client had a problem where the Next Number Index 01 for System Code 01 (WorkFlow), known as SERK reached the maximum value of 99,999,999 making it impossible to perform workflow approvals or to troubleshoot errors being sent to the Work Center. It also caused record locks in the Record Reservation (F00095) tables.

While the client has resolved the issue by using Work Center purge (R01131P) and changing the SERK value, they would like to know if there are any other Next Number values they need to be worried about and any other purge programs they need to be ready to use.
