Symptoms

The customer is setting up Accelerated Pricing Resolution Engine (APRE).  With the APRE System Constant set to 1  (Allow Use) or 2 (Auto Load), in environment JPX910, the Accelerated Pricing Resolution Engine Manager (R45390) job is submitted and runs as a subsystem job.

In the JPX910 environment, the Accelerated Pricing Resolution Engine Workbench (P4530) shows Cache State INACTIVE and Cache Load Environment <blank>.

In the JPY910 environment, the Accelerated Pricing Resolution Engine Workbench (P4530) shows Cache State ACTIVE and Cache Load Environment JPY910.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Sign in to the JPX910 environment.
  2. In the Branch Plant Constants (P41001), take the Form exit to System Constants. Indicate a value of 1 in the Accelerate Pricing Resolution Engine option.
  3. Whenever the user starts or restarts the system,  you must then manually load the cache using the Accelerated Pricing Resolution Engine Workbench program (P4530).
  4. When the accelerated pricing resolution engine loads the cache, it runs the Accelerated Pricing Resolution (R45390) UBE in subsystem.
  5. Review P4530. Note it shows Cache State INACTIVE and Cache Load Environment <blank>.
  6. Sign in to the JPY910 environment.
  7. Repeat the steps above to activate APRE.
  8. Review P4530. Note it shows Cache State ACTIVE and Cache Load Environment JPY910.
