Symptoms
While attempting a multiple line Inventory Transfer (P4113), on the fourth line of the transfer, the Lot Number on the To Location WP1172509 did not match the Lot Number on the From location WP11720338 and the program returned the following error:
"To/From Lot Numbers must be the same" Error (2489)
Cause. . . . . The 'To' and the 'From' Lot Numbers must match if the item is under advanced lot number control.
Resolution . . Check the entered Lot Numbers and correct the one in error.
The user corrected the From side of the transaction to clear the error and saved the transaction but the batch cannot be posted.
Examining the Item Ledger (F4111) after the transaction was created, we can see the following:
- The From Transaction (Line 4.000) was not written to the Item Ledger for -64 units
- The To Transaction (Line 4.500) was written to the Item Ledger for +64 units
