E1: ESU: Modification Flags are Missing and Locating Customized Objects with 64-bit Deployment Servers (Doc ID 2762242.1)

Last updated on MARCH 25, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When applying ESU's or ASU's (Application Software Updates) to a Deployment Server, all objects are marked as modified.

64-bit Deployment servers are using OMW load to do the spec merge on the 64-bit deployment server, all object are marked as (C/1) in OL F9861 after spec merge (OMW Load). This would cause all the objects to be marked as customized objects in ESU/ASU process. That's why we fixed this issue in the following bug to erase the C/1 flag <Bug 31536705> - SPEC MERGE MARKED ALL OBJECTS SIMRGMOD FLAG TO C

Since that change, the impact analysis tool P96710 is used to get the list of modified objects (C/1 flag on), and it is needed to run impact analysis before applying the ESU to target environment.
