E1: CAFE1: Unable To Use ISO Standard Date Format While Connecting With External URLs / Programs (Current Mapping Of Date Field To URL Parameter Is In Literal) (Doc ID 2766015.1)

Last updated on MAY 21, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using Cafe1 to link JDE to an external program (via web services or business services) date fields passed in literal / user format are not getting recognized properly.

Example: When users are in different continents using different date formats (DD/MM/YY, MM-DD-YY, YY-MM-DD etc), the external program or the external URLs are not able to identify the date format from E1/Cafe1. The external program is unable to interpret 01/09/20 as January 9th 2020 instead of September 1st 2020.

This is because the current mapping of date field to URL parameter passes date in user format / literal.

So, this is a request to use ISO standard date format while connecting with external URLs / Programs.
