E1: CAFE1: CafeOne Child Form (W4945A) Not Refreshing After Taking Row Exit in Parent Form (W4915B) After Tools Upgrade to 9.2.4.x (Doc ID 2769512.1)

Last updated on JUNE 14, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading tools release from 9.2.0.2 to 9.2.4.4, the child form data does not auto refresh after user return from another application via form/row exit in the parent form.

A CafeOne Layout created as follows:

Parent Form: P4915 | W4915B Work with Shipments
Child Form: P4945 | W4945A Shipment/Load Charges Revisions

Dynamic Link Mapping:
Load Number is mapped to LDNM(Load Number)
Depot - Trip is mapped to NMCU(Shipment Depot)
Shipment Number is mapped to SHPN(Shipment Number)
Routing Step Number is mapped to 1.0  <== Static value

When user takes the Row Exit - Routing Options on the parent form W4915B, and then in Work With Routing Options form select another grid row that does not have a green checkmark beside it, after selecting the grid row, system returns back to W4915B parent form. After return, the child form grid data is not automatically refreshed. User has to click on the Refresh icon in the child form for the grid data to be refreshed and reflect the new data.

This used to work in lower tools release like 9.2.0.2/9.2.0.5

Steps to duplicate:

  1. Create the cafeone layout as described above.

  2. Enter P4915 in fast path.

  3. Enter Shipment Number (e.g. 2147) in QBE.

  4. Click Find.

  5. Note down the Child form grid data.

  6. On the Parent form, select the checkbox beside the shipment number (e.g. 2147) and select Row Exit - Routing Options.

  7. On Work With Routing Options form, select a grid row that does not have any green checkmark or red cross. Click Select.

  8. After returning back to Work with Shipments form, notice the Grid data in the Child form is not refreshed and not reflecting the new data.

  9. User need to click on the Refresh icon in the child form and then the grid data is refreshed in the child form.

    Click on Refresh icon:

Data in Child form is then refreshed:
