E1: 08: P085303W Personal Employee Workfile Build Shows Martial Status As 1, 2, or 3 Instead of the A, J, H Codes Which Were Delivered By the IRS in 2020 (Doc ID 2772794.1)

When the R05410 - Personal Employee Information Workfile Build is processed for an employee with the Processing Option # 2 (Build the I.R.S. W-4 Tax Form work table (F085303W)) set to a 1, the P085303W Marital Status, IRS W-4 Form (Alias: W4MARST) is set to a 1 instead of A, J or H (New Codes that were introduced in 2020).  UDC 06|MS holds the correct values.  The P085303W should also hold the correct value.  Because the correct value is not updated, the employer does not know which code to use when manually entering the data in Tax Overrides.

  1. Build the R054101 (Personal Employee Information Workfild Build) for an employee.
  2. Go to the P085303W and review the Martial Status Field, see that it is a 1 instead of A, J or H
