E1: 34: MRP Writes Negative Cumulative Available to Promise (CATP) Values to the P3413 Time Series when Unadjusted Beginning Available (+BAU) is Less Than Zero (R3482/R3483) (Doc ID 2772920.1)

Last updated on MAY 13, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When R3483 or R3482 writes the P3413 time series and unadjusted beginning available, BAU, is driven negative due to unmet demand, the P3413 quantity type row for Cumulative Available to Promise, Adjusted (CATP) is driven negative, despite the adjusted quantities (=EA) being greater than or equal to zero.

Steps:

  1. Locate existing or enter fresh P4102 planning data.
  2. Adjust firm or planned requirements, Such as P4210 Sales Order or P3460 Forecast demand, to be in excess of supply in the early periods, driving P3413 Time Series +BAU negative. Note that MRP R3482 or R3483 planning does adjust supplies to drive =EA to zero.
  3. Review P3413 Time Series CATPU and CATP for scenarios where all supply matches firm orders, meaning that no excess quantity or quantity shortages exist in adjusted quantities. Any non-zero (negative) CATP is incorrect.
