(Doc ID 2777063.1)
Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Capital Asset Management - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
R12804 updates the records in JDE files, regardless of a change done for the asset or if the R12804 has been run already over it. For example, in F4801, R12804 updates the audit fields for all the assets in the data selection while there are only few assets which are changed.
Due to this issue, the audit fields are updated without any reason. Business expects only those assets records should be updated where there is a change in the asset master ( e.g. serial number/Tag number ). R12804 in production environments are overwriting millions of audit field (Program ID, User ID, Time of day) where as it should be limited to few thousands only.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Change the unit number in Work with Equipment Master and run R12804. The unit number is updated as expected in the related tables along with audit fields.
-
Change the serial number in Work with Equipment Master and run R12804. The serial number is updated as expected in the related tables along with audit fields.
-
Do not change anything and run R12804. The audit fields are updated in the related tables.
