E1: UPGTC: Will The Table Conversion Of F9312 Against The Test Environment Effect Production Which Is Running A Lower Level Tools Release In A Multi-Foundation Installation? (Doc ID 2786570.1)

Last updated on JUNE 22, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When upgrading the EnterpriseOne tools release from 9.1 to 9.2 the F9312 table (used by all three environments, DV, PY and PD) goes through a table conversion.

How will the table conversion for DV/PY to 9.2 affect the production environment if it is not yet running the same Tools release level?

NOTE: Client skipped Table conversion step for F9312 during a Tools Release upgrade of their test environments (DV/PY).

Client is now asking what the consequences would be to run the Table Conversion "after the fact" for DV/PY when Production is still at a lower tools release?

A) Is there a best practice when running a table conversion against F9312 while testing Non-Prod?

B) Would doing the TC against F9312 during tools release upgrade in TEST, affect Production prior to Production cut-over?
