E1: 44H: P44H601 Bid Contract Detail Reference 1/2 Field Values Related to Options are Not Populated or Cleared Correctly (Doc ID 2786864.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Homebuilder - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Issue 1:  Bid Contract details P44H601 field Reference 2 is not populated with the Option Master Description 2 text when creating a detail line containing the Option number.  Reference 1 is correctly populated with the Description 1 text from the Option Master.

Issue 2:  When the Option Number is cleared / removed from the Bid Contract detail line, the Reference 1 (& Reference 2) Option related Description text is not deleted from the Bid Contract Detail line.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Locate/create an option where both the description 1 and description 2 fields are populated in Option Master P44H401.
2. Create a Bid Contract (P44H601) adding a line for this option. Verify the Reference 1 field is populated with the value from the Option Master Description 1 field.  Note that Description 2 text does not default into Reference 2 of the Bid detail as it should, (Issue 1).
3. Update the Bid Contract removing the Option value from the Option field.  The Reference 1 field containing the value from the Option Master Description 1 field is not cleared as it should be since the Option is no longer on the detail line, (Issue 2).

Note:  If Reference 2 is correctly populated with the Option Description 2 text, then upon removal of the Option from the Bid Contract detail line, the Option related Reference 2 text should also be cleared.

4. Expecting the newly updated Bid Contract to clear the Option related values from the Ref 1 & 2 fields.
