Symptoms

The tools release of the system has been upgraded to 9.2.4.x or 9.2.5.x or 9.2.6.x. In these tools releases , the version of embedded BI Publisher in the enterprise server is 12.2.1.4.0 as per document E1: XMLP: BI Publisher (BIP) Supported Desktop Versions, Microsoft Word Versions and Required Table OCMs (Doc ID 2198754.1)

The BI Publisher Desktop 12.2.1.4.0 has a provision to implement QR Code as per document QR Code Support For BI Publisher (Doc ID 2455492.1)

A RD (Report Definition) template was designed to implement QR Code and tested successfully in the BI Publisher Desktop 12.2.1.4.0

When attempting to implement same template through RD report on EntepriseOne enterprise server , the Report Definition Job ends in FX Status (XML Publishing Error). When the xdo log is captured for this specific report using the procedure described in Doc ID 651589.1 , the following error is captured:

Steps to replicate

  1. Design a RD template with QR Code using BI Publisher Desktop 12.2.1.4.0
  2. Test the template locally with BI Publisher Desktop
  3. Use the same template and configure a XMLP report as per procedure in Doc ID 1301758.1
  4. Submit the report and test the results 

Changes

 Upgrade to tools release 9.2.4.x or 9.2.5.x
