E1: 41: 47: Failed R47011 (Inbound 850) Increases Commitment F41021.PCOM Where Inv Commit Preference is Active (Doc ID 2795108.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 03, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 9.1 version, Sales/EDI

Data for several items is entered into the F47011/12 tables via the P47010 application, and a single record is intentionally set incorrectly – for example an invalid Unit of Measure for an item or an invalid tax rate/area. The R47011 application runs over the data and fails to complete due to the invalid data. No order is created (correct) but for item(s) flagged as having no error (N) on the R47011 PDF, the value in the SO/WO Commit field (alias PCOM) in the F41021 table has been increased by the quantity held in the F47012 record – it is recommended to note the before/after values of this field when testing.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. Add an EDI header/detail record in P47010, where there are multiple detail records for different items.
  2. Deliberately set one of the lines with an incorrect value (tax rate, item number etc) so that it fails when the R47011 is run.
  3. Observe the current PCOM value for the items involved in the EDI transaction, from the P41202 availability program.
  4. Run the R47011 UBE, which fails because of the 1 incorrect data item.
  5. Check the P41202 - for the failed item, the PCOM value has NOT increased; for the other items that were correctly set, PCOM has increased.
  6. No order is generated because of the failure.
