E1: 34: Master Planning Schedule - Multiple Plant (R3483) Creates Over Supply When Using Periods of Supply (OPC = 4) Frozen WOs and Minimum / Multiple Quantity (Doc ID 2798794.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 12, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For min/multiple quantities and OPC = 4 frozen WO, Master Planning Schedule - Multiple Plant (R3483) is creating over supply.

Issue can be replicated following these steps:

1. In P41026 Item Branch, create a manufactured parent item with Multiple Order Quantity = 50 and OPC = 4, OPV = 5. In P3460 Work With Forecasts, create demand (as FCST) for 500 EA, 2 days in the future from the MRP run date. And another FCST for 120 EA 10 days in the future.
2. In P48013 Manufacturing Work Order Processing, create a frozen WO as supply for 600 EA, 7 days into the future.
3. Run Master Planning Schedule - Multiple Plant R3483. In MRP/MPS Detail Message Revisions P3411, notice the suggested planned WO is for 150 EA, instead of 50 EA.
