E1: 30: P30200 BOM Inquiry Screen Throws Blanks Invalid Error 0003 for Non-Blank Field After Tools Upgrade To 9.2.5.3/4 (Doc ID 2798816.1)

Symptoms

After update to tools release 9.2.5.3/.4, when enter a parent bill of material item and branch plant in the first or second tab of P30200 and click find, the third tab branch field triggers a blanks invalid, error 0003, for a non blank value.

Steps:

  1. Access P30200 in Processing Mode 1 or 2
  2. For Processing Mode 1, The system displays the bill of material in the simple inquiry mode, with the focus on Parent item field. Enter item and tab to next field, Branch. Enter branch "m30"and verify that the field validates as " M30"
  3. Click Find. System sets error on leadtime tab. Navigate to Leadtime Inquiry tab, note that Highlighted field is non-blank, as if populated by navigating to the tab. Populating the item and branch on any of the tabs should validate on remaining tabs without errors. Tab exit the non-blank field, but the error does not clear.
  4. Repeat test with P30200 using Processing Mode = 2. The system displays the bill of material in the parts availability mode.  Enter Item and Branch and click find. 
  5. Error triggers at will.
