E1: SVM: Unable To Add / Register An Existing Oracle Database Instance (Solaris Platform) In Server Manager Console (Doc ID 2801390.1)

While trying to register an existing oracle database instance via server manager console, there is no radio button option to select the database as an instance type. In this case, the database server and the server manager agent is on Solaris platform. This option to add the database as an instance is available when the database / server manager agent is on Windows or Linux platform.

Steps to Replicate:

1.Login to Server Manager Console

2. Select the Managed Home with which you wish to register the Oracle Database.

3. Click the Create a New Managed Instance button to create the Managed Instance within the Managed Home.

As shown below, the database component is not available as an instance type.

However when you perform the same steps in a setup with Oracle database / Server Manager agent on a Windows or Linux OS, the database component is available as seen in the below screen shot,


 No Changes.
