P3002 Bill of Materials is not allowing to change the effective from or effective thru dates for an obsolete or use up component item.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Have one M stocking type parent item with an O stocking type obsolete (or U use up) component on a BOM in P3002.
Try to change the effective from or effective thru dates.
Try to save and the system error out:
Item is Obsolete (error ID 890L)
