Symptoms

With Tools Release 9.2.5.X, it is not possible to retrofit custom modifications in Batch Versions with overrides.

Document E1: RDA: How to Retrofit a Custom Version of a Standard UBE Report after an Upgrade or ESU (Doc ID 637786.1), instructs the developer to "Uncheck and then recheck the Override Specs for Event Rules on each of the sections. This step brings the new Event Rules from the Upgrade or ESU into the custom version."

This step does not work. Upon re-entering the Event Rules of the section, it still contains the old Event Rules, that is, the Event Rules have not been replaced with the new Event Rules from the Report Template with the code current updates or ESU.

If user completely deletes the Batch Version by putting checkmarks to delete Locally and from Server in OMW and then adds a new Batch Version with the same name,  when the Batch Version is opened in Report Design Aid (RDA), it is marked with Overrides and it contains the old Event Rules, as though it is not a new version.

Note: Another scenario of this issue is, when you do changes to a section via "Override Version Specifications" and try to select or remove any of those options (Ex: "Section Data Selection"), it doesn't get saved.
