E1: 31: Unable to Generate Serial Numbers in Serial Number Revisions - P3105 Greater than the Work Order Quantity Due to Error ID 4717 'Number of LSNs exceeds quantity required' (Doc ID 2809008.1)

Currently in Serial Number Revisions (P3105), if the user attempts entering a serial number quantity greater than the Work Order quantity, the system will generate the following error:

Number of LSNs exceeds quantity required
Error ID 4717

However, after reporting parent scrap (IS, P31114), the user will not be able to return to Serial Number Revisions and generate a new Serial Number so that it can be later used for a Work Order completion.

The request is to add functionality to the P3105 where Serial Number could be generated for a quantity greater than the order quantity. Below are suggestions to allow this:

1. The system could check Work Order parent scrap quantity when determining whether to allow for additional serial numbers to be generated via P3105.
2. Add a processing option to Assign Serial Numbers (P3105) to bypass error ID 4717.
3. Add a processing option to make error ID 4717 a warning if generating more serial numbers than then Work Order quantity.
