Symptoms

Multi Plant MRP (R3483) is not considering the demand coming from SV service orders, when a component is attached on the parts. Here is the business case: SV orders without a BOM to begin with. When repairing, they clean/fix whatever part can be salvaged and replace those that cannot be. So it is a different list each time.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Be sure to have the inclusion rules used by MRP set to include SV status 10.
  2. In P48201 ZJDE0002 WO revisions, add a new SV order, be sure to have an empty item/equipment on the WO header.
  3. Search for the new SV order and select it. Take the row exit to parts. Add one purchased item with zero stock and no supply.
  4. Run MRP R3483 over the component.

No messages are generated for the component.
