Currently Grower Harvest records have a flag to indicate if the crop is produced on owned land (Internally) or purchased from a suppler (External). While this allows the Grower Weigh Tags Processing (P40G0700) to create different Purchase Orders for Internal or External there are limitations on the functionality of Settlements.

Request for the Settlement applications to be able to keep a common workflow but not produce un-needed AP Vouchers and Journal Entries for receipt of Internal (owned) material.

For Internal harvests, generate Assessments and Donations without generating AP Vouchers (which are unwanted). There are Assessments based on the value of the material that do need to be paid per harvest to the appropriate agency even though there is no payment to be made to a “supplier”.

It should not be necessary to generate AP Vouchers for grapes that are not purchased; however, it remains necessary to generate accruals for Assessments and Donations on these Internal grapes.

Processing options should be introduced for the Settlement Applications so that the Settlement Applications consider the Internal/External flag on the harvest, based on the processing option. The processing options should permit the following:

a) Complete the notional “payment process” for an Internal harvest using a similar workflow to the actual payment process for an External harvest, but AP Vouchers should only be created for the External harvests that actually require payment. In other words, AP Vouchers should be optional for Internal harvests but it should still be possible to complete/close the workflow for Internal harvests without an AP Voucher being generated; and

b) It should be possible to generate Assessments and Donations and accrue them to the GL for both External harvests and Internal harvests if processing options are introduced along the lines described above (i.e. accruals for Assessments and Donations should be possible with or without AP Vouchers).
