E1: 42: Unable to Ship Confirm (P4205) Specific Order Type in Production Environment Due to Application Failure Messages (Doc ID 2820247.1)

Symptoms

Customer is unable to ship confirm specific orders in the production environment. After performing ship confirm for an order, the order appears to ship confirm. As the user attempts to ship confirm a second order errors are sent to the work center. The first order is not ship confirmed.


ERROR MESSAGE:

Application data for P4205 successfully saved.
Reason for save: There was a problem with the server while running the business function ShipConfirmEndDoc.\nThe server may still be available, but because of state information, the entire unit of work must be resubmitted.\nPlease exit the application and restart it. Post Button Click - Asynch Line number 39 Data was saved using the label XX.X.XX.XX:XXXXX and can be viewed using the following link:

Reason for save: Transaction cannot be committed. It was canceled.Data was saved using the label XX.X.XX.XX:XXXXX and can be viewed using the following link:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In Sales Order Entry (P4210) create XS order type transactions.
  2. In Ship Confirm (P4205), inquire on a XS order and ship confirm the order.
  3. Ship confirm a second order. Note the first order has not ship confirmed.
