E1: 13: Work Order Parts Detail (P17730) Does Not Get the Correct Item Number As Per Branch/Plant Constants (P41001) Setup When Using Visual Assist (Doc ID 2820718.1)

Symptoms

If the Branch/Plant Constants (P41001) are setup to use the 3rd item number as the primary number, when searching for the item number using visual assist in Part Detail (P17730), the system returns the 2nd item number onto the Parts Detail which is not validated. Therefore the error Item Number Invalid (Error ID 0267) is displayed.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. P41001 – 3rd item number is set as primary number on the branch C30.
  2. P48201/P17714 Add an equipment work order on the branch C30.
  3. P17730 Add an item on the Parts Detail by using visual assist on the field Item Number, so the Item Search & Select (P40ITM1) opens.
  4. After selecting an item number in P40ITM1, back to Parts Detail, the item retrieved on the line is 2nd item number which is not validated due to P41001 setup and the error Item Number Invalid (Error ID 0267) is displayed.
