E1: 43: Case Study: PO Print (R43500) PDF Document Is Unreadable/Illegible (Doc ID 2821415.1)

Recently Custom Purchase Order Print (R5543500) started printing with garbage characters, missing data and misaligned data on the report PDF output.

1. Garbage characters appear in the report name and company
2. Data in the header section such as “Shipped From” and “Shipped To” is missing.
3. Data in the detail selection is not lined up with column headers
4. POs printed on the previous Friday, and before were printed correctly.
5. The PO Print program has not been changed for many years and this has never happened before.

The client reproduced the issue with the following steps:

1. In Work with Submitted Jobs, Find a Purchase Order Print (R5543500) job that was run last week.
2. Verify that the Purchase Order was printed correctly and had no garbage characters. Note the PO number.
3. Now on run the Reprint Version of Purchase Order Print (R5543500) with data Selection on the same PO number.
4. The PDF Output is corrupted
   1. Garbage characters appear in the report name and company
   2. Data in the header section such as “Shipped From” and “Shipped To” is missing.
   3. Data in the detail selection is no lined up with column headers
