Symptoms
Recently Custom Purchase Order Print (R5543500) started printing with garbage characters, missing data and misaligned data on the report PDF output.
- Garbage characters appear in the report name and company
- Data in the header section such as “Shipped From” and “Shipped To” is missing.
- Data in the detail selection is not lined up with column headers
- POs printed on the previous Friday, and before were printed correctly.
- The PO Print program has not been changed for many years and this has never happened before.
The client reproduced the issue with the following steps:
- In Work with Submitted Jobs, Find a Purchase Order Print (R5543500) job that was run last week.
- Verify that the Purchase Order was printed correctly and had no garbage characters. Note the PO number.
- Now on run the Reprint Version of Purchase Order Print (R5543500) with data Selection on the same PO number.
- The PDF Output is corrupted
- Garbage characters appear in the report name and company
- Data in the header section such as “Shipped From” and “Shipped To” is missing.
- Data in the detail selection is no lined up with column headers
