E1: UBE: "Action Failed" Error On-Screen When Changing Job Queue. Error in Logs: "QUEUE06000020-Rule failed for change 4523 job C23B9593_6017_QB7333_01_54640." (Doc ID 2829874.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)

Symptoms

  1. Open P986110B Job Maintenance and try to change the queue on an existing job.
  2. Receive error such as "Action Failed"
  3. Logs show, for example, "QUEUE06000020-Rule failed for change 4523 job C23B9593_6017_QB7333_01_54640."
  4. Queue does change and job does run after a pause.
  5. If you hold and release the job, it will run immediately.

The main functionality of changing the queue is working -- but an Action Failed error does display on screen, even though there was no error, and Bug 21536308 was raised to address it.

Nearly the same issue, but on the Linux/Unix platform, has been reported previously in

E1: UBE: Changing Job Queue or Priority in WSJ of UBE in W Status Succeeds, but Produces Errors On-Screen and in Logs (Doc ID 2086887.1)

and resolved in

Bug 21536308
- CHANGING THE JOB QUEUE AND PRIORITY DOESN'T WORK ON UNIX PLATFORMS
